Sorry, half sister. I had my daughter with a much older guy who already had a grown up family from a previous relationship. They think of themselves as sisters though, which is lovely.

I have no idea how I am classed by them. I never registered at the KH when I came to UK and I have not seen any JWs in 3 years. One person from Spain but who now lives is in Mexico knows I am apostate and my daughter's eldest sister knows I am inactive so is shunning me.
Personally, I too am a fully paid up member of the "mentally diseased apostate class".
I do worry about being "invited" to a JC although I know I shouldn't.

I found this to be a time for sisters to parade their new outfits like non-jws would at Easter Sunday…while jws held the people at Easter in derision for doing
the same thing. Jws would make fun that these people only came once a year to church as I looked around at jws that only came once a year to the
memorial.
I remember reading years ago that the churches judge a nation's faith by the numbers who turn out for Easter Sunday rather than Chritmas Mass.
"watching the world" in awake has always been used as a tool to promote certain doctrines like blood, the u.n etc.
in the new "step-parents" awake magazine, it has an article claiming how 1 in 3 college students would consider stripping or sex work to pay for it!!!

I haven't seen the magazine article but there was a documentary here in UK about Uni students prostituting their way to being doctors, lawyers etc.
I don't remember statistics but it was more than just a few.

The first was lovely and an elder's son but neither of us was baptised.
The second was many years later and what a lucky escape that was. I am so glad I valued my independence more than the status I would have achieved through marriage.
i can recall awhile ago when some of the elder's wives weer talking and hinting that the boundaries were being changed in our city.
this affected 4 congregations.
my faimily was shocked when we found out from a sister in another congregation whose husband in not even in the faith.. apparently she is in the gossip group.. how sad, that they won't tell you what the proposed territories would be like, and allow some discussions on it.
A Spanish elder told me that the English elders massaged the figures to get approval to convert a pizza place in the north of the island into a new KH. It just happened to be near the brand new estate where they had all purchased property and moved to.
For the more well off it meant a reduction of 35k per meeting. For those in the poorer territory it meant an increase of 35k per meeting.

the memorial is back and i know i am going to be harassed into taking my father in law to it.
i refused last year and i have every intention of not going this year too.
it is just so frustrating to me that he has a pioneer for a supposed wife who can take all the other sisters to doctor appointments and shopping and gets high praise for this by the congregation even as she neglects her sick husband.
Am I being an asshole for not wanting to take him anymore?

the announcement of the reduced number of pages in the watchtower & awake will be made after the watchtower study following the "special talk" on april 8.. theoretically, that's when there will be more visitors and "outsiders" than usual.
even the talk itself has 1/2 of its content directed at inactive jws.. obviously this reduction in pages has been in the works for several weeks if not months.
why pick that date to announce it?
If they go from 32 to 16 pages, they're getting real close to the end.
So all the time they filled 32 pages with their rubbish we weren't close to the end even though they said it was!
